Donate to Bipolar Disorder Research - Help Find the Risk Genes

Linda Brzustowicz
Dr. Linda Brzustowicz, funded by IMHRO donors, has made discoveries in bipolar and schizophrenia genetics

Thanks for your interest in funding cures for bipolar disorder through IMHRO.

International Mental Health Research Organization (IMHRO) is a nonprofit whose mission is to fund research into better treatments, and ultimately, cures for brain illnesses such as bipolar disorder. Since 1995 we've enabled donors like you to more than double their investment in mental health research—for every dollar donors have given to research, the government or other private foundations have matched it in follow-on grants. Thousands of people have already benefited from the scientific discoveries made by IMHRO-funded projects.

Your donation will be put to work in projects that hold promise for amazing results. IMHRO funded scientists are closing fast on a new generation of therapies for bipolar disorder. The research of Dr. Ty Cannon and his consortium called the NAPLS has revealed biomarkers to predict the onset of psychosis in bipolar disorder, and this consortium has enrolled and helped thousands of people at risk in its preventive care programs. And, Dr. Cannon's and Dr. Linda Brzustowicz's discoveries in common genes for bipolar disorder and schizophrenia have helped us define the nature of these conditions. With better understanding, better treatments are coming, and someday soon, a cure.

Because IMHRO's expenses are underwritten by its board, 100% of your donation will be allocated to a research project aimed to help people with bipolar disorder, such as those mentioned above. And, your donation will be 100% tax-deductible.

To target your donation specifically to bipolar disorder research, please choose that option on the donation form.
