International Mental Health Research Organization Announces 2009 Rising Star Awards for Mental Health Research

RUTHERFORD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The International Mental Health Research Organization (IMHRO) has announced its 2009 annual Rising Star Awards for Mental Health Research. IMHRO is the coalition of the Shari and Garen Staglin family and other families and individuals seeking to raise awareness and funds to find the causes and cures for mental illness. Among many activities and events to support this cause, the most notable are the Staglin Family Vineyard Music Festival for Mental Health and Sunshine from Darkness Gala and Symposium.

The Trustees of IMHRO are pleased to announce the 2009 Rising Star Awards for Mental Health Research grants are awarded to Francis Lee, M.D., Ph.D., of Weill Cornell Medical College, Andrew Pieper, M.D., Ph.D. of University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and Hongjun Song, Ph.D. of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
