WHO: The 15th Annual Staglin Family Vineyard Music Festival for Mental Health, featuring keynote speaker Dr. Helen Mayberg, Professor of Psychiatry Neurology at Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, Georgia, and a concert by the legendary Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo!
WHAT: A campaign to support the research and treatment of physiological brain disorders
WHERE: Staglin Family Vineyard in Rutherford, Napa Valley, California
WHEN: Saturday, September 12th, 2009, beginning at noon
WHY: Mental illness is the leading cause of adult disability in the United States, costing our country over $150 billion annually and affecting over 50 million Americans. With 100 percent of the expenses underwritten by its sponsors, all proceeds go directly to scientific research and treatment programs, including those at UCSF, Stanford University, UCLA, University of Southern Florida, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, the Roskamp Institute studying Alzheimer’s, as well as research awards through NARSAD (National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression) plus Aldea, Inc. of Napa and Sonoma. To date, over $80 million has been raised.

ADMISSION: Tickets for the lecture, reception and concert are $750. Tickets for the lecture, reception, concert and exclusive dinner are $5000 with table of ten sponsorships beginning at $50,000. All revenues will go to mental health research projects throughout the nation. Admission to the seminar only is free.

Celebrating 15 years, the Staglin Family Vineyard Music Festival is the highest grossing fund-raising event related to wine without an auction, with a thirteen-year total, including grants from the National Institute of Mental Health, surpassing $80 million. Last year alone, the event raised approximately $3 million to support the research and treatment of physiological brain disorders. Participating wineries historically include many of the "cult" wineries from Napa and Sonoma. Wine country superstar Douglas Keane of world renowned Cyrus Restaurant in Healdsburg, California will delight attendees with passed hors d’oeuvres during the "world's best cult wine tasting" in the Staglin barrel caves, followed by an energetic musical performance by one of the queens of rock and roll, Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, performing her classic hits "Hit Me With Your Best Shot", "Love is a Battlefield", "Heartbreaker" and more! Completing the experience, guests will enjoy A Northwestern Italian-style dinner under the stars by renowned chef Staffan Terje of San Francisco's Perbacco Restaurant at the VIP post-concert dinner.
