In October of 2008, the board members of  the Staglin Music Festival for Mental Health came together with those of another mental health fundraiser in Florida, Sunshine from Darkness, and several other mental health advocates to form IMHRO, the International Mental Health Research Organization. This is IMHRO's new website. Welcome!

"Shari and Garen [Staglin, through IMHRO] have had a galvanizing effect on schizophrenia research that is almost impossible to quantify. Not only through their phenomenal fundraising efforts, but more important, they are able to articulate a vision where very soon, through the advances of science, we will conquer schizophrenia. They are unfailingly optimistic and results-driven, and accept nothing less from the researchers they support. It's electrifying."

-Dr. Sophia Vinogradov, UCSF
