Contribute to Mental Health Research

Karen and Jerry Callagahan
Donors Karen and Jerry Callagahan get a big "thank you!"
Our work here at IMHRO is a tribute to the people we love who live with brain disease. Brain disease can be a literal living hell; and the lives of our loved ones who have a mental illness are a constant source of inspiration. As they learn to accept and deal with the challenges they face, we couldn’t be more proud of them.

And, the support of our donors and volunteers over the years has been phenomenal, and we are forever grateful. They’ve joined us to raise over $94 million for the research that can one day soon cure mental illness, and we feel every ounce of their generosity personally.

If you’d like to donate, we would sincerely appreciate your contribution. Alternatively, here are some fun ways you can get involved:

Volunteer for Mental Health

Volunteers at Staglin Music Festival

Interested in raising funds and awareness for the mental health cause? Does volunteering to help people with depression, schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder appeal to you? A fun, social way to contribute to the cause is to lend a hand (or two) with International Mental Health Research Organization. IMHRO offers these ways to volunteer for mental health:
  • Volunteer to help produce the Staglin Music Festival for Mental Health: depending on your interests, you can volunteer to help by directing parking, setting tables, serving food, and more. You'll experience the excitement and hope of this annual shindig while knowing that you helped people in need. The Staglin Music Festival for Mental Health takes place each September in Napa Valley, California.
  • Volunteer for mental health mail campaigns: IMHRO sends out save-the-dates and invitations to the annual Staglin Music Festival each spring. These are our biggest campaigns, and they can use support in labeling, stamping, filling and sealing envelopes.
  • Volunteer to host your own mental health event: no matter where you live, if you have a venue where you can entertain guests at a gathering and the interest in opening it to fellow mental health enthusiasts, you can be instrumental in raising funding and awareness for the cause. Already, several generous people have hosted fundraising dinners at their homes, including all-star supporters Chris and Liz Browning and Ron and Barbara Balser.
  • And more! If you're interested in donating your time and elbow grease for mental health, we can likely find something for you to do.
If you'd like to volunteer, please contact Cindy Dyar, IMHRO's Managing Director.
